Do you know what your school district spends?

Rather than seek more taxpayer funding for education, we should focus on where the education
dollars are going now. Most taxpayers would be shocked to find that:

THE AVERAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT SPENDS LESS THAN 50 PERCENT
OF ITS MONEY IN THE CLASSROOM!!!

 

Here's a few examples:

 

Cleveland ISD   Category: Academically Unacceptable

Percent spent in the classroom     49.4

Amount spent per pupil       $6484

Student/teacher ratio         15.6

 

D'Hanis ISD in Medina County   Category: Exemplary

Percent spent in the classroom     48.2

Amount spent per pupil       $8185

Student/teacher ratio         11

 

Dripping Springs ISD in Hays County   Category: Recognized

Percent spent in the classroom     43.6

Amount spent per pupil       $5969

Student/teacher ratio         15.4

 

Graford ISD in Palo Pinto County   Category: Acceptable

Percent spent in the classroom     63.0

Amount spent per pupil     $10092

Student/teacher ratio         10.6
